On Friday, August 1st, a private screening of Sophie Karl’s film "A Requiem for Desire" took place in London at the Soho Hotel. The film tells a story of love and the realization that you may not be living your first life — and that, little by little, you begin to feel it in this new incarnation. Sophie worked in collaboration with visionary director Isaac Lawrence and with the editor Stephen Southouse. What the premiere felt like and the deeper meanings Sophie and Isaac embedded into the film — as well as its strong and weak points — were discovered firsthand by the founder of Drive Music Media, Asya Radko, who attended the event.
On Thursday, July 24th, Asya Radko, the founder of Drive Music Media, attended a private viewing of Johnny Depp’s original artworks, "Let the Light In," held at the charming Castle Fine Art gallery on South Molton Street in London. Johnny Depp, as an artist, has a deep sensitivity to emotion and isn’t afraid to use a different color palette in each of his works — sometimes wrapping you in an embrace, other times sending you spiraling into the depths of human consciousness. During the event, Asya spoke with art expert Alina Mihai about Johnny’s technique, the deeper meanings behind his work, and the exhibition itself, which opened to the public a week earlier.
On Thursday, July 17, one of London’s oldest pubs and live music venues, The Troubadour, lit up with an explosive show organized by concert curator and artist Darcy Winter. The lineup featured local bands MOSAICS, French Toasts, and The Prior. We were there to feel the heartbeat of the music, trace how it all began, and learn more about the mission behind Darcy’s initiative, Drive Music Media — all in the middle of the action.
On April 27th, in the city of Essen, an exhibition by Ukrainian photographer Anastasiia Zaruba opened its doors. The photographs are dedicated to the Ukrainian team of former and current servicemen who, after rehabilitation, participated in the international competition "Invictus Games 2023" in Düsseldorf. The photographer named her exhibition "Invincible". Learn more about the origins of the exhibition, its participants, and the atmosphere at the grand opening on Drive Music Media.
On January 19, 2024, the Ukrainian team "INSPIRE" from Mykolaiv presented its extraordinary and very emotional circus and acrobatic project "Extraordinary show" in a steam-punk style. The organizer of the project was Oleksandr Vinogradov, who, together with his team of 45 artists, realized an incredible dream – presented a show in Dusseldorf that previously shone only on the Ukrainian stage. The main idea of the project was to show the love story of a time traveler student with a girl from another time space. Drive Music Media visited the show and is ready to tell whether the main characters managed to overcome the time barrier and stay together, or whether the preservation of time boundaries was the reason for their separation.
